Introduction
Institut Pasteur Korea(IPK) was established in 2004 with support from the Korean Ministry of Science and ICT(MSIT), through the agreement between the Institut Pasteur(Paris) and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology(KIST). The COVID-19 crisis has renewed our awareness of the significance of infectious disease preparedness research. IPK currently focuses on global infectious diseases that represent today’s health challenges such as zoonotic virus infections, viral immunity, tuberculosis, antibiotic resistance, hepatitis, cancer, dengue and neglected diseases, as well as preparing for emerging diseases that may impact future health needs. IPK School will nurture promising students keep in line with Louis Pasteur’s legacy of providing scientific education, and contribute to advance Korean R&D competitiveness.
